First Couple of Months......

Disney World fact of the blog:
  • Unlike in Sleeping Beauty Castle in Anaheim, CA, Cinderella's Castle has a restaurant inside instead of the walk-through.
  • Cinderella's Royal Table (CRT) is the most coveted so to speak restaurant to eat at because it requires basically a year in advance reservations....and the meals are at least $60 per person...YIKES....
  • I will go there before I leave, count on it!

So as everyone knows, I got into the Walt Disney World College Program!! Woot! I arrived in Florida on May 12th in West Palm Beach to visit with my grandparents and family I hadn't seen in 10 yrs and then on the 18th my grandparents drove me to Orlando where I stayed at the All Star Movies Resort before I could check into my apt on the 19th :)

Fast Forward to the 19th- I leave the hotel at about 7 o'clock and I take a taxi to Vista Way where all the check-in business is happening. I waited in line for about an hour and then I got my room assignment...now I have been forgetting one thing....my "friend" was with me this whole time and so we got in the same apt......bad idea...anyway, we get our room assignment, Chatham Square Apt #7104...it's a four bedroom meaning we'll be sharing an apt with 6 other girls...dear God help me right? So, we take the bus to Chatham and find out apt, which is really close to the bus stop *yay* and we go into our apt...no one is there and in each room a bed was taken. Inside my head I was like hallelujah! I won't have to share a room with her!! And then one of our other roommates came home and "my friend" asked her if she could move....and I felt super bad for her....but she did move and we got the room....so whatever...

So everything is starting to go down hill after like 2 days.....me and the other girl are getting in fights and so on so fourth so about two days later we all have a wonderful housing meeting and friend gets moved to Vista !!! Hahahaha.. and then we don't have a roomate until like the 25th...when Miranda moves in. :)

Miranda was the roommate that stayed the longest. We got along fine, she was loved by everyone in the apt and stays until July 18th.....she ended up self-terming and going back to New York because she didn't like her job (ODF in Disney's Animal Kingdom) so she went home....

Third roommate, Erica moves in like 2 days later...literally stays for a week and a half, doesn't really talk to any of us besides Alicia and then self-terms without telling anyone but her managers.......sketch I think so...

So now I have no roommate but unfortunately we might get one today but who knows how long she'll last...

So on to my actual adventures....I went to Casting on the first day and they told me that I was working Tomorrowland Attractions, which I was like "WOO-HOO!!!" thinking that I could hopefully get Space Mountain or Buzz Lightyear....and then my first day of training they told me I was working Buzz Lightyear....again I was like WOO-HOO!! Called my mom to tell my brother that I was working Buzz Lightyear and he was super excited too!

So fast forward to now (sorry I rally don't feel like typing everything out today) but it's the 23rd of August, and I have one more month until I'm 21! And the fact that I'm going home for a week for my birthday is going to be "fun"....so I still love my job and love working at Disney World...still have to get used to saying that instead of Disneyland...but all is well but until my next post...

See ya real soon :)
